When we take the road to visit Tramuntana we can easily reach the first hot spot of the island; 20 minutes away from Palma we reach Puigpunyent, as we drive through the sinuous road we glimpse a new icon in the luxury sector ,far  beyond the stars. With a vocation for being legendary, Gran Hotel Son Net is what they call in the industry a Grand Dame.

Located in the Serra de Tramuntana, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011 , Grand Hotel Son Net is a typical possessió , the name that refers to agricultural states in the island.

The palace that gives life to Grand Hotel son net dates from 1672. When you admire the building it may remind you of some Italian postals, but it is not Italy, it is Mallorca and it represents the paradigm of the balearic stately architecture. We find a 17th century patio, a well that receives water from a natural spring from the area, its own chapel and Mediterranean gardens.

GASTRONOMY

Zero kilometre, local cuisine and authentic ingredients, seasonal products, that’s the secret to first enjoy real tastes and approaches to local tastes and second , we are on the path of sustainability.

Grilles octopus with ramallet tomato (a kind of little sun-ripened local tomato), olives and marjoram, that is a local herb used for…everything!

WELLNESS

The Spa well worth a visit, a completely new build in a stone building next to the main pool. Its more than 1000 m2 include a large indoor saltwater pool, five treatment rooms, a thermal circuit and a fitness room with Technogym equipment and views of the Tramuntana.

SUSTAINABILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY

The state has its own Organic vegetable garden and has a program of water  management through the natural spring that supplies it

This grand Dame is open all- year- round, so this allows you to admire the Tramuntana during the winter months and enjoy multiple experiences.
